Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 May 2026

By using EvidenceScope, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

Important medical disclaimer: EvidenceScope is a research aid, not a clinical decision-support tool. AI-generated content may contain errors. Always verify against original sources before clinical or scientific use. Do not use EvidenceScope to make medical decisions for individual patients.

1. Service description

EvidenceScope is a web-based platform for biomedical literature search, screening, and AI-powered review synthesis. It searches public databases (PubMed, Europe PMC) and uses Anthropic Claude for AI features.

2. Use cases

EvidenceScope is intended for:

It is not intended as a clinical decision-support tool, a replacement for systematic review methodology (Cochrane, PRISMA-compliant SRs), or for making individual patient decisions.

3. Free and paid tiers

The free tier provides 3 AI Reviews, 5 enrichments, and 5 Risk of Bias assessments lifetime. Paid tiers are billed monthly via Stripe and can be cancelled anytime.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. AI-generated content

AI features (Translate, Enrich, AI Review, Risk of Bias, Visual) produce output based on the articles you provide. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-generated content before using it. EvidenceScope makes no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose of AI output.

AI Review citations are real PMIDs from your filtered set — but the interpretation, claims, and synthesis are AI-generated and must be checked against the original papers.

6. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of your search queries, screening decisions, and any data you input. AI-generated content is provided to you for your use; if you publish it, you should attribute EvidenceScope as the synthesis tool used and verify all claims.

Article metadata, abstracts, and PMIDs are sourced from PubMed (public domain in the US; consult NLM terms for use). Journal impact metrics from OpenAlex, SCImago, and iCite remain property of their respective providers.

7. Liability

EvidenceScope is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to errors in AI output, missed articles, incorrect risk of bias assessments, or downstream decisions made based on the output.

You assume full responsibility for verification of all results before clinical, research, or publication use.

8. Account and termination

You may delete your account at any time by emailing info@evidencescope.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use after changes implies acceptance.
